Teeth Whitening Treatments for a Brighter Smile
Teeth whitening treatments come in many forms and individuals who would like to have a white, glistening and spotless set of teeth have several options to choose from. Some options are for regular teeth whitening, which takes a bit of time to show results while others are more drastic, which can produce results in a single short session of whitening while being safe for your teeth’s outer structure.
In this article, we will be taking a look at distinct teeth whitening procedures, which have proven highly effective and efficient in terms of maintaining teeth health and delivering that gorgeous white smile that you want. Teeth whitening is a great option to produce a brighter smile. Below you will find a list of the various teeth whitening procedures that we offer.
Opalescence™ is a chemically activated power whitening gel that provides brighter, whiter teeth after just 40 minutes in the dental chair. The safe, powerful 40% hydrogen peroxide gel is chemically activated, doesn’t require a hot, uncomfortable light to work, and usually takes only one dental visit to achieve desired results.Read more about Opalescence™
Take Home Trays
Take home trays are trays that are clear and usually made of a clear plastic that comfortably adjust when inserted. A small dollop of gel is inserted in each tray, giving them their whitening properties. The gel consists of a hydrogen peroxide solution that actively whitens the enamel of the teeth. After they have been used and are taken off, they need to be cleaned with a Q-tip or a cloth and rinsed. This makes them ready to be used again. It is not recommended to use them for at least another day, after each application. These whitening trays can be used several times to achieve the desired results. Our dentist can further advice on how many times they should be used in your case.
The Zoom teeth whitening kit consists of hydrogen peroxide gel and an overhead lamp that delivers ultraviolet (UV) light. In the procedure, the hydrogen peroxide gel is applied to the patient’s teeth. After the gel has been applied, an overhead lamp delivers UV light to the teeth. It is a safe, effective and proven method.
